Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Interventional Radiologist and Full-Time Diagnostic Radiologist to join our onsite team at Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 233-bed acute care hospital in Palm Beach County. This combined role supports both procedural interventional coverage and full-time diagnostic imaging services. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a broad range of interventional procedures and general diagnostic imaging and is committed to delivering accurate, timely reads in a patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret a full range of diagnostic imaging studies, including:
- CT
- MRI
- X-ray
- Ultrasound
- Nuclear medicine
Deliver timely, accurate final reads to support high-quality clinical decision-making
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Utilize the hospital’s EMR system for documentation and communication
Participate in peer review, QA initiatives, and departmental meetings
Provide consultative insights and recommendations to referring providers
Interventional Radiology (Part-Time Coverage Responsibilities):
- Perform angiography, biopsies, drain placements, vascular interventions, catheter insertions, and ablations
- Provide procedural consultations and treatment planning
- Work collaboratively with hospital-based specialists and referring providers
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (IR experience preferred for part-time coverage)
- Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Proficiency in all general imaging modalities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced hospital environment
Compensation
- W-2 Diagnostic Employment: $625,000 annually
- Part-Time IR Compensation: Based on coverage, commitment, and experience
- 1099 Independent Contractor Option (IR coverage flexibility if applicable): $650,000 equivalent structure
