Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - CT/IR
The computed tomography/cardiovascular (CV) technologist has the responsibility for the coordination and performance of the computed tomography and angiography areas. He/she works closely with the technologists, radiologists, clinicians, nurses and clerical staff to assure optimum quality control, efficient coordination of activities, high quality diagnostic/therapeutic exam results, and patient satisfaction. CLINICAL RESPONSIBLITIES A. Performs computerized tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest and body with and without the use of contrast materials. B. Confers with radiologists to determine requirement of nonstandard IR/CT exams. Determines technical factors, positioning and supplies needed for each exam. Advises radiologists or referring physicians of examination results. Notifies
