The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is expanding its general GI section due to significant growth throughout the M Health Fairview system located in Minneapolis, MN and its surrounding suburbs. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to become an integral team member within an academic division that is dedicated to cutting-edge and patient-centered care. The position is clinically focused with the opportunity to teach, conduct research, develop clinical programs, and participate in other academic activities.

Demand for complex GI patients is high, and we would ensure an interesting practice with a large internal referral base.
Practice within a team-based healthcare delivery model that incorporates allied health professionals in GI Health Psychology and Nutrition.
As a large academic practice, we work closely with our colleagues in surgery, radiology, and pathology, as well other medical specialties.

About the Division:
The Gastroenterology Division’s general GI Section hosts expanding clinical and research programs in IBD, esophageal disorders, complex polypectomy, use of AI in endoscopy and functional GI diseases. The transplant hepatology section hosts one of the longest standing liver transplant programs in the United States. The Division is also home to a nationally-recognized Advanced Endoscopy Section for the development and management of ERCP, EUS, and management of complex pancreas/biliary disorders. The Division continues to maintain highest ambitions for excellence in all three of its major missions: patientservices, teaching, and research.
Candidates will have excellent skills and interest in general gastroenterology and hepatology. We are particularly interested individuals focused on disorders of gut-brain interactions and gastroparesis.
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training programs.
BC/BE in Gastroenterology through ABIM
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
