Cincinnati Children's is a level 1 trauma center and one of the busiest ORs in the nation averaging over 100 scheduled surgeries per weekday. The OR consists of 27 standard OR suites, 2 intervention radiology suites, 1 hybrid (OR & IR) suite, and Rosa & da Vinci robots.
Position Responsibilities:
Knowledge of sterile work environment, including sterile technique and infection control expectations
Assisting with preparation of the Operating Room Suite for patients' procedures
Assisting the Scrub Technologist/RN with preparing for surgical procedures, including opening sterile instrumentation and supplies to the sterile field. Retrieving instruments/supplies needed by the surgical scrub person.
Assist with stocking supplies, cleaning, checking outdates, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Eligible for admission/enrollment in position/function certification program(as applicable Must maintain satisfactory performance AND successfully complete all job-specific training as defined by program guidelines
Obtain program-specific certification/licensure AND register with all applicable governing body by date specified in program guidelines
Preferred:
Students enrolled in accredited Surgical Technologist associate degree program
