JOB SUMMARY:The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for designing treatment plans and carrying out mathematically accurate calculations for the delivery of radiation treatments based on the radiation oncologist's prescribed course of radiation therapy. The Medical Dosimetrist, along with the radiation oncologist and medical physicist, will construct treatment plans that meet the prescription written by the oncologist, ensuring that radiation delivered will not affect healthy surrounding tissue.
