Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office is the oncology service line for Banner Research. The department operates in Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center and Banner Gateway Medical Center. The department conducts Phases I-III treatment clinical trials covering all disease groups with the goal to provide support to the physician investigators and to provide trial treatment options to the patients in a safe and ethical manner, while ensuring compliance to the FDA and institutional regulations.
This position will manage a team of 4-6 research project coordinators for our start up studies from concept phase to activation. Will project manage a high volume of studies in various stages to support study start up timelines, communications with sponsors, investigators and internal team members.
Hours are Mon-Fri 8a-5p, no weekends or holidays

About Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Located in Gilbert, Ariz. (the Phoenix Metro area) on the Banner Gateway Campus, the center provides world-class care for oncology patients - both inpatient and outpatient - and has also brought leading oncology programs to the Banner Gateway campus including Stem Cell Transplantation and comprehensive Head & Neck cancer care. Our capabilities include five linear accelerator vaults, a brachytherapy vault, an advanced diagnostic imaging suite with PET/CT scan, more than 50 infusion bays, a cryopreservation lab and much more. Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two way audio-video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will assist in the development and successful execution of clinical trials for which Banner serves as a sponsor, from protocol concept through clinical study report. This position will coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams to support milestone achievement.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinates study activities to support milestone achievement and to manage study issues and obstacles. Supports the communication plans by creating communication materials; updating documentation and web sites.
2. Assists in the development of study-related documentation, including clinical research study protocols, informed consent forms, case report forms, monitoring plans, data management plans, statistical analysis plans, and IRB/IEC submissions and renewals.
3. Facilitates project meetings and coordinates the interaction with other departments and stakeholder groups.
4. Organizes and manages project timelines, milestones, and critical study activities to ensure project deliverables are on time and within budget. Provides regular updates to leadership as appropriate.
5. Coordinates problem solving and resolution efforts to include management of risk, contingencies and issues.
6. Facilitates project closure including identifying lessons learned; effectively incorporating lessons learned into future projects; successful transition from project to production for all aspects and team members; appropriately manages project documentation.
7. Adheres to all relevant regulations including ICH, PhRMA and CFR guidelines, as well as Banner policies and procedures.
8. This position is responsible for the sponsor???s daily operations from start-up to close-out of clinical trials. This position will support the RN Clinical Trials Program Manger, Global Project Manager and other study leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in life / health sciences or related field and five years clinical research experience including two years project management experience and experience in clinical operations; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Strong organization and documentation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectManager) Working knowledge applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master???s Degree preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
