Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group- is seeking a part-time 0.5 FTE Urgent Care Nocturnist to join our Capitol Hill Campus team in Seattle, Washington.
Capitol Hill Campus is a multispecialty medical center. Lab, Radiology and Pharmacy on site. Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, with Urgent Care open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Physician of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care at Washington Permanente Medical Group ("WPMG") partners with WPMG physician colleagues in urgent and emergent care throughout the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington ("KFHPWA") delivery system to provide great patient care. This position provides urgent and emergent diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic health services to patients in a dedicated emergency department, under law. This facility operates 24x7, 365 days per year.
Nocturnist Physicians are expected to be available to work all night shifts including weekends and holidays to meet the business needs of the department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluates procedural requests and reviews medical records to ensure appropriate plan of care is developed.
Develops, implements, reviews and maintains associated informed consent orders and instructions.
Complies with all state and federal regulations, in addition to KFHP/WPMG practice standards.
Seeks and offers appropriate and timely consultations consistent with protocols.
Orders medication within prescriptive authority and promotes the use of the KFHP formulary.
Demonstrates knowledge of and participates in Kaiser Permanente business initiatives.
Orders lab, pharmacy, radiology, and special tests appropriately.
Actively builds a culture of equity by understanding health disparities and creating system level interventions to address them.
Develops cultural competency and agility in self and others in order to understand and respond to the different care experiences faced by our diverse patient population

Management of minor and moderately complex medical and surgical problems in adult and pediatric patients; including acute ophthalmologic care, management of anterior nasal bleeding, emergency management of airway including intubation, wound care and suturing, stabilization and reduction of closed fractures and dislocations under regional anesthesia
Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program.
Unrestricted Washington State Medical License and Federally Issued DEA license.
