Medical Instrument Technician (Diagnostic Ultra-Sound)
This Medical Instrument Technologist (MIT)- Diagnostic Ultrasound position is assigned to the Roseburg VA Health Care System, Imaging Service. Regardless of the assigned duty location the technologist may be required to perform duties at both the Roseburg facility or Eugene facility as needed. Functions: The technologist requires knowledge of image acquisition in Ultrasound, Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), and Microsoft Office Programs. The technologist will carry out his/her assignment independently. - Performs outpatient and inpatient (location dependent) ultrasound examinations ranging from the routine to the highly specialized. Exams may be performed in the Imaging Department or portable depending on patient care needs. The technologist will be responsible for man
