The Nuclear Medicine Tech performs diagnostic testing using nuclear medicine technology. Instructs patients on procedures. Position requires independent judgment and understanding of nuclear medicine properties to perform tests. Transports patient to scanner location and assists with patient placement on scanner.
Work in this position will primarily be located in Princeton, Wyoming, Mora, St. Croix Falls, and Little Falls MN. Full time Days and generous benefits package.
While this position is not scheduled for weekends, there is a call rotation (6-7 week rotation).
Performs Nuclear Medicine Examinations
Applies advanced understanding of imaging techniques, disease processes and application of quantitative and quantification formulas and procedures.
Reexamines questionnaire data
Performs exams with technical accuracy and in a timely manner
Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images
Completes communication of pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the exam
Positions patient appropriately to achieve quality diagnostic images.
Verifies patient identification and documentation
Communicates with and educates the patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and file jacket transfers in a timely manger
Accurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archiving
Participates as an active team member
