The supervisor has shared accountability for the success of the breast center and its satellite center(s) for LBMMC. The supervisor works directly with the director of breast services in partnership with the medical director, physicians, technologists, department ancillary staff, and other departments within the medical center. Provides supports recruitment of technical staff, trains all technologists and key ancillary staff ensuring that a high level of clinical quality, productivity, and customer services are upheld. Ensures policies and procedure practices are followed to maintain compliance with all accrediting agencies; MQSA, FDA, ACR, Title 17 & 22, JCAHO, CMS, and any additional agency changes to ensure optimum patient care and safety by providing high quality, cost effective services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
The supervisor will have equal responsibilities at the main LBMMC breast center as well as it’s off site centers. This position will coordinate, recruit, and train technical staff; assure that a high level of clinical quality and productivity is maintained. Validate imaging staff competencies. Responsible for the quantity and quality of breast imaging performance. Coordinate patient clinical/imaging care activities with all supporting ancillary departments and identify and resolve discrepancies related to patient care. Maintain Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) regulatory requirements. This position will work closely with mammography tracking system manager.
