Employees at this grade level are fully functional as a DRT and are able to carry out their assigned tasks independently. DRTs at this level may have varying assignments including special and complex radiographic procedures. Regardless of the nature of the specific assignment, the work must be of sufficient scope and complexity to meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform at this level. The position is that of a Registered Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with skill in special procedure/interventional radiography, will work under the direction of a physician. Operates all radiology equipment both mobile and fixed, and assists the radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures as part of the diagnostic plan for patients. The technologist works closely with radiology students mentoring and providing guidance with examinations during all aspects of their clinical rotations. The incumbent will participate in on call for the section. Identify, prep skin appropriate area and drape patient and equipment following sterile procedure. Set up sterile tray according to physician preference Maintain sterile environment during procedures Ensure doctors preferred equipment/supplies are available, pulled or on the table Display proper flushing and preparation of procedural resources Ability to follow the flow of the procedure and anticipate the next steps Administer contrast media as needed Assists the physician in pre, intra, and post procedure care of the patient Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 0800-1630 Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
