UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities.
Faculty Breast Imaging Radiologist - The UTMB Department of Radiology seeks full time radiologists with experience in Breast Imaging and intervention; including tomosynthesis, MRI, diagnostic ultrasound (US), biopsies (US, stereotactic /tomosynthesis, MRI guided), and pre surgical localizations. Our breast imaging platform is completely 3D and digital and includes mobile breast imaging vans. There are four dedicated breast imaging clinics within the Galveston/League City area located in League City, Angleton, Clear Lake and Galveston. Our program is designated as an ACR Center of Excellence in Breast Imaging. Additionally, UTMB Breast Imaging collaborates with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for medical oncology and radiation oncology services. UTMB has accredited residency programs in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and trains one breast imaging fellow every year. At present there are 3 fellowship trained radiologists dedicated to breast imaging during normal business hours with no weekend or after-hours call. As the breast imaging section grows, periodic remote or home-based screening interpretation will be available.
MD., D.O., or equivalent degree.
Board Certification/Eligibility by the American Board of Radiology.
The ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License.
