The VA Northern California Health Care System is currently recruiting for a full time Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist position with Radiology Service located at the Sacramento Division. Major duties include but not limited to: Performs routine to moderately complex radiographic procedures. Operates equipment for providing radiographic examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Receives and interprets request, or instructions for procedures. Practices radiation safety in order to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self. Troubleshoots equipment used in diagnostic radiologic procedures and is able to make minor repairs and/or adjustments. Participates in continuing education processes to maintain competencies and keep abreast of technological advances. Preparing contrast materials under the direction of a radiologist in order to perform exams requiring injectable solutions such as IVP, cystogram, cholangiogram, fistulagrams, and arthrography. Responsible to explain exams to competent patients so that the patient understands what is to be done. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
