You Will Be Responsible For:
Ability to utilize iCerner-RADNET-EMR, Centricity PACS, (The Picture Archiving and Communication System) US LOGIQ Software.
Ability to learn and use basic supervisory skills such as team building, all required HR functions and effective communication.
Attend the core leadership development classes. Attend monthly Radiology Operational Meetings.
Possess the ability to instruct, guide and mentor the modality staff with a positive, supportive attitude.
Supports all hospital and administration initiatives for customer service, patient care and interdepartmental cooperation.
Resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates issues to operations Manager.
Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race, or sex. Provides patients with efficient and courteous procedures.
Assures that all staff sonographers are proficient on the use of their specific Ultrasound and Imaging Departments equipment and the department’s policies and procedures.
Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patient, families, and Imaging Services Administration.
Ensures that there is proper coverage to meet the needs of patients and physicians.
Conducts employee appraisals for probationary and annual review. Evaluations are submitted within the required timeframe.
Approves Paid Day Off requests, verifies and authenticates time cards and attendance records of all assigned personnel.
Participates in interview process for prospective new hires.
Cost Reduction, Expense Management, and effective use of supplies.
Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources.
Efficient utilization of assigned FTEs-all staff (FT, PT, PRN and Agency).
Oversees and helps prepare modality annual operational budget.
Determines that all charges are properly processed, right patient, right date, right exam information.
Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures safely and in accordance with FHT standards of care. Ability to teach same.
Is familiar and complies with appropriate JCAHO standards and directives. Able to teach the same.
Develops updates and implements a procedure manual for facility according to specified methods described by Medical Director to ensure standardization across all facilities.
Keeps current on ongoing peer review. Works with QA coordinator to identify and resolve issues.
Demonstrated evidence of continuous professional development.
Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required and non-required staff development programs.
Keep us with any additional certifications for that specific modality that become available.
What You Will Need:
High School Graduate or equivalent
4 years’ experience as Ultrasound Technologist.
The Ultrasound Supervisor with initiative and independent judgment performs professional and technical duties for Ultrasound Department. Maintains a program which assures the patient that quality is an integral part of all procedures performed and is responsible for the overall management in the Ultrasound Department. This is a working supervisor position.
