M Health Fairview is looking for an Imaging Technologist Assistant for the Xray department at M Health Fairview at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The Imaging Tech Assistant provides efficiency support for the Imaging Departments and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. This position will support the technologist with In-Patient and ED workflow.
The work schedule for this position is every-other Saturday & Sunday, 6 hour shifts typically scheduled 9AM-3PM.
Imaging Tech Assistant's role & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assists the technologist in the preparation of patient for radiology procedures as needed.
Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness.
Documents patient information
Assists in the cleaning, maintenance, stocking and preparation of rooms Insures that supplies are ordered and maintained
Adheres to radiology polices and infection control standards
Greets and prepares patients for imaging exams
Aids patients with completing questionnaires.
Assists in positioning patients for Radiological Examinations, excluding holding during imaging acquisition
Radiology Technology student or Imaging experience in specific modality.
Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role
