The MRI Technologist PRN performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures on ambulatory, hospitalized, and critical care patients in a Physician Office, Clinic, and hospital settings as requested by a physician or other licensed provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist.
Able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Assures operation of MRI equipment by performing quality checks following manufacturer's recommendations and troubleshooting equipment as required, calling in repairs when necessary and maintains MRI supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending staff meetings, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be an active listener with strong people skills.

EDUCATION: Grad of an Accredited Program
EXPERIENCE: Minimum/no experience required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION: Basic Life Support (BLS)
American Reg MRI Tech (ARMRIT), ARRT-MR Magnetic Res Imaging (ARRT-MR): Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
