JOB TITLE: 3D Lab CT/MRI Tech LOCATION: Geisinger Medical Center Hospital DEPARTMENT: Radiology WORK SCHEDULE: Evenings/Nights WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Performs and is efficient with on-screen3D post-processing. Performs quantitative assessment of images that result in new or more cost effective diagnostic approaches. Delivers valid, clinically relevant visualization of medical imaging data on a system wide basis. Processes CT and MRI DICOM data through set protocols and standards to provide the highest level of patient care system-wide. Facilitates communication horizontally across all Radiology Services.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates knowledge of basic computer skills and programs.
Demonstrates good organizational skills and effective communication skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of the functions of the 3D Lab.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ARRT registered in CT or MRI required.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a CT / MRI technologist in a hospital setting post graduation from an approved ARRT Radiology Technology Program.
Two years experience performing 3D quantitative procedures preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSCIAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in a patient clinical / office environment.
On-call weekly rotation for 3D imaging is required. (May be performed at home) 20 Minute response times is required.
At home digital network connection required.
Position requires on-call rotation for off-hours, weekends, and holidays.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC): Located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
