Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led 500+ provider multi-specialty group seeking a fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon to join its group located in Boise, Idaho. Group staffing consists of 1 non-operative sports medicine physician, 1 joint preservationist, and 4 joint replacement surgeons. The group also includes 5 Advanced Practice Providers.
Saint Alphonsus Joint Preservation and Reconstruction is an innovative, multi-specialty orthopedic practice in Boise, Idaho focused on hip and knee reconstruction and joint preservation techniques. Patients have access to both non-surgical and surgical treatments for hip and knee conditions in order to increase the longevity of the joint. Saint Alphonsus is the only health system in Southwest Idaho with access to MAKO, the most advanced robotic technology for partial and total knee and hip replacement surgery.
Requirements include completion of a joint replacement surgery fellowship and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organization’s core values of Reverence, a Commitment to the Poor, Justice, Stewardship and Integrity. The opportunity requires the granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).
Support: 24/7 Physician Anesthesia; General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynecology, Urology and Endoscopy, hospital-based imaging services; 24/7 radiology department; in-house coverage for general radiology and CT; after hours call coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine; MRI; Breast Care Services; X-Ray (CR and DR image capture); ED; Level II Trauma Center; ED; Saint Alphonsus network of Specialty and Primary Care Services.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Residency and accredited Joint Replacement Fellowship program;
Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery;
Obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases;
Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA.
