The Radiology Department of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a board certified/eligible, fellowship-trained abdominal radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor, depending on the level of experience. Divisional duties include CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MRI and image-guided interventional procedures. Specific clinical and research interest can be in any area within the scope of abdominal imaging. The candidate would have the opportunity to work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest radiology residency programs in the U.S.
The Abdominal Imaging Division includes 19 faculty and sponsors an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in abdominal imaging. Members are responsible for clinical services at Parkland Hospital and Clements and Zale Lipshy University Hospitals. Central reading rooms are located at two sites. Freestanding reading stations are located throughout the hospital system.
Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group, as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the campus. Strong collaborations with imaging vendors enrich discovery opportunities. Current projects focus on spectral CT, US microbubble oncology therapy, machine learning and informatics. Administrative, biostatistical and logistical support are provided.
