Front office contact person. Under general supervision, performs clerical and receptionist duties such as greeting and registering patients, answering phones, relays messages, data entry, and other clerical duties as assigned. Schedules and orders appropriate exams in Imaging computer system. Professional attitude and dress required. Provide excellent customer service to everyone visiting Imaging Services, whether it is in person, via telephone or e-mail. Provide administrative support to administrative management staff. Responsible for maintaining patient files/images and records and performing all daily tasks of the Imaging file room.
Works under the general supervision of the Team Leader or assigned supervisor.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Ability to read and write in order to decipher physicians’ orders from scripts and relay written messages to physicians and technologists. Required level of skill normally acquired by completion of a high school education.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal and external callers and visitors.
Excellent organization, communication skills, and human relations skills.
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Medical office experience a plus.
Previous medical office experience along with excellent patient confidentiality skills.
Prior experience in general office practices.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in healthcare/business or related field required; Minimum three years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of Associate's degree.
Minimum of two years of project management or relevant experience in healthcare required.
Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project required.
