Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital serving the Cambridge, Massachusetts area, is seeking an outstanding leader, clinician, and teacher for the position of Chair of the Department of Radiology. The Radiology Department includes 14 radiologists, 2 radiation oncologists, 2 medical physicists and a staff of over 70 technologists, nurses, and support personnel who collectively perform more than 180,000 examinations per year covering the full range of modalities, including active interventional, women’s imaging, neuroradiology, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy programs. The Department also oversees a longstanding and highly-regarded ACGME-accredited Radiology training program, including both Diagnostic Radiology and ESIR pathways.
The potential candidate should have an exceptional record of success as a clinician and teacher, with proven skills as a leader and the ability to sustain and grow a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and achievement. Board certification in radiology is required and fellowship training in a sub-specialty is highly desired. The successful candidate must qualify for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Although several years of direct clinical and educational leadership experience would be advantageous, less experienced candidates with exceptional promise will also be considered.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and all inquiries and applications will be held in the strictest confidence. Candidates should send a curriculum vitae and a personal statement outlining their specific interests to email@example.com. References may be requested as part of the search process, but are not required as part of the initial application.
