Position Summary:
The expanding Breast Imaging section at the University of Utah’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a highly qualified Breast Imaging Radiologist – Part-time/Locum to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have subspecialty training in breast imaging and will contribute to our mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive breast imaging services, including digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, MRI examinations, and performing image-guided biopsies and preoperative needle localizations using X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI guidance.
- Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in research activities and contribute to the advancement of breast imaging.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology ( ABR ).
- Completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging or equivalent training with expertise in all aspects of clinical breast imaging.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical skills, communication, and teamwork, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Utah.

You will work in state-of-the-art facilities that support a robust clinical, educational, and research environment. These include:
- Clinical services at Kathryn F. Kirk Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care and Women’s Cancers , a world-class facility dedicated to women’s health within our regional NCCN designated regional cancer center and several outpatient centers.
- Advanced imaging modalities, including 100% tomosynthesis mammography fleet, tomosynthesis-guided biopsy systems, MRI -guided interventions, dedicated breast ultrasound units and potential for abbreviated breast MRI and contrast-enhanced mammography (the latter currently used as investigational device).
