This opening is for a full time Physical Therapist in an Outpatient Therapy department. Patient populations include but are not limited to: Orthopedic, Post-Surgical, Neurological, Lymphedema-Wound Care and Chronic Pain conditions. We have a highly collaborative environment where therapists work together to assure top quality outcomes for patients. Being the only hospital on Kodiak Island, our rehab team provides a wide array of clinical services across many areas of rehabilitation
In this position you will:
Provide physical therapy services in the outpatient setting and provide occasional support coverage for inpatient therapy
Plan and implement specific management plans for individual patients according to the principles and practice of physical therapy
Provide direction and guidance to other caregivers to assist them in following through on the therapeutic plan of care.
Function on an interdisciplinary team and provide assistance to coworkers, patients, and visitors as needed.
Assist in promotion of the department through community awareness outreach projects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Alaska.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of date of hire.
Current Alaska driver's license with clean driving record and proof of vehicle insurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's or PhD.
One (1) year of experience in physical therapy.
