The Interventional Radiologic Technologist performs duties directly related to interventional imaging and assists physicians on all procedures within the scope of Interventional Radiology. The Interventional Radiology Technologists performs radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures. They assist physicians by scrubbing as related to the procedures. The Interventional Radiologic Technologists assists in patient care and preparation of the lab by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties.
An Associate's degree is preferred.
Graduate of approved school of Radiologic Technology by a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or American Medical Association (AMA).
Current licensure required for specific area including CRT, Fluoroscopy or Mammography.
A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified by the State of California Bureau of Radiological Health.
3+ years of experience in CT special procedures.
2+ years of continuous full time Radiologic Technologist experience.
Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of accountability.
Ability to delegate and provide direction through demonstrated leadership and training.
