Perform all ultrasound examinations according to department protocols and ACR standards.
Uses proper imaging techniques and equipment to obtain scans of optimal quality.
Provides technical support for smooth and efficient operation of Ultrasound Department.
Responsible for staying abreast of current ultrasound skills and new developements in the field of ultrasound.
Provision of instruction and orientation to students, technologists, and new technologists to effectively participate in the the assessment of their performance reviews.
Participation in problem-solving issues addressing patients, department operations, quality assurance procedures, interdepartmental relationships and employee morale.
Resposible for documenting pertinent history for each procedure, in order to provide the radiologist with adequate information prior to interpretation.
Compliance with adherence with established department safety standards to ensure patient's and staff's well being at all times to include proper established safety procedures for all health workers, patients and visitors.
Graduate of AMA approved School of Ultrasound
PM shift with every 6th week night and every 6th weekend CALL
Eligible to sit for RDMS or RVT registry
Must acquire ARDMS Breast Certification within 9 months of hire.
