Full time opportunity in Orange County, California 7 miles from Orange County Airport (SNA), short commute to Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach
Strong, seasoned generalist preferred, neuroradiology fellowship training plus general skills would be a bonus. California license, California fluoroscopy license and DEA license required.
Hospital based practice: hospital is a level II trauma center and a stroke center.
Case mix varies from 80 to 130 cases per day, 50% CT, approximately 8 MRI per day, 20 US, 5 OB US, 2 NM. No mammography or interventional skills required.
Radiologist must be capable of rapid burst readings during code trauma and code stroke: 20 minutes for a trauma panscan, or for a code stroke CT head /CTA brain / CTA NECK / perfusion brain CT.
Radiologist will work daily in hospital with one other radiologist: backup from parent radiology group available. Sunday coverage will be provided by per diem radiologists.
Hours: 7am-5pm Monday thru Friday. On call: Two Saturdays per month, 7am – 5pm. No evenings Nighthawk service from 5 pm until 7am completes final readings.
