The Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center Richmond VA is seeking multiple Academic fellowship trained Thoracic, Abdominal, MSK or Ultrasound Radiologists who can also perform General Radiology. Duties include reading CT, MRI, US plain films and performing CT/US guided procedures. Responsibilities include teaching VCU Radiology Residents and performing research (publishing, applying for grants and preparing presentations). Institution is involved with multiple research trials.
The department performs approximately 120,000 examinations per year and has 11 full and 6-part time faculty members. Six VCU Radiology residents are present at the VAMC at all times. We currently have 2 Toshiba CT scanners (64 and 320 slice) and are in the process of acquiring a third, Dual Energy CT. We currently have 2 GE MRIs (1.5T and 3 T), 1 Siemens MRI (1.5 T wide bore), and are in the process of acquiring a fourth MRI system (3T high gradient). We utilize ADW, Vitrea, Tera Recon and Dynacad workstations. VA Richmond encourages active multidisciplinary collaboration through more than 10 weekly conferences. The successful candidates can be eligible for academic appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level at Virginia Commonwealth University.
